Application
Artists apply for membership by showing a proof of competence in printmaking.
This is accomplished by submitting a work portfolio (5-10 digital images of prints) and a copy of their resume.
After being accepted as a new member, full payment of fees, and receipt of the signed artist’s contract is due. The artist will then receive a shop orientation, and a key to the studio.
The application and acceptance process usually takes 1-2 week(s).
Full Membership Benefits-2021
1. Use of the printmaking studio and either the American French Tool or the Griffin Press
2. Use of a flat file drawer for paper etc. storage
3. Use of light tables, drying racks and other studio supplies set up for press members.
4. Opportunity for one or two person exhibit at the CTS press gallery.
5. Opportunity to participate in all CTS group exhibits at both the press gallery and at other venues
6. Opportunity to use the Nuarc light exposure unit. Additional fees will be charge to offset electricity costs. TBA.
7. Opportunity to exhibit up to 12 images on our website.
8. Receive notices on exhibit opportunities outside the CTS Press.
9. Opportunity to participate in group meetings, critique sessions (in person or online), and contribute ideas for CTS exhibition opportunities at CTS, and in art communities outside CTS.
10. Opportunity to offer workshops with approval of the Artistic Director, Karen Adrienne.
11. Be part of a dynamic group of artists who share information, techniques, and networking.
Associate Membership Benefits-2021
1. Opportunity to participate in all CTS group exhibits at both the press gallery and at other venues.
2. Opportunity to exhibit up to 5 images on our website.
3. Receive notices on exhibit opportunities outside the CTS Press
4. Opportunity to participate in group meetings, critique sessions (in person or online), and contribute ideas for CTS exhibition opportunities at CTS, and in art communities outside CTS.
5. Be part of a dynamic group of artists who share information, techniques, and networking.
Fees & Schedule
This schedule applies to the 2021 season.February 1 through December 15.
Annual Artist Membership (10 months) $600.
Half season membership (5 months) $350.
Three month membership $240.
Two month membership $180.
*Printing Associates $150.
* There are day rates, and Mini Rez opportunities available for past members or artists who have taken a workshop at the press.
Associates would be printing at another facility, or on their own press.
There is a $75.00 non-refundable initial membership fee. This is a one-time fee for contiguous membership. Members pay a $25.00 studio key deposit, refundable upon return of key.
